*Be sure to select a time when you will not interrupt sales to make this transition. It should take 5-10 minutes to complete.
1 Close out any open batches in your terminal before unplugging it.
2 Keep your old terminal at your counter or close by just in case there is an issue and you need to continue using it until your new terminal is working satisfactorily.
3 Once the new terminal is up and running be sure to return your old terminal to your previous provider if they own the machine.
Setting Up Your New Terminal
1 Unpack your terminal from the box.
2 Attach the wall plug cable to the power adapter, then connect it to your electrical outlet. Connect the other cord on the power adapter to the connector block on the end of the coiled terminal cord.
3 Connect the ethernet (Internet) cord that was connected to your old terminal to the port labeled ETH on the connector block at the end of the coiled terminal cord. If you do not use ethernet, or if you also have a phone backup, connect the phone cord that was connected to your old terminal to the port labeled (Phone) IN on the connector block at the end of the coiled terminal cord.
4 Wait for your new terminal to boot up. Follow any prompts on the screen, until it stops on the idle screen showing your business name, and the apple/google pay logos.
5 Look for a circle logo that has three dots inside at the top left corner of the screen. If the circle and dots are green your terminal is connected. If they are white there is an issue with your internet connection that must be resolved before you continue.
